Adventures In Green {Smoothies}: Day 2

I bet you think you're looking at your typical green smoothie in a glass, right?  Look again.

What you have before you, friends, was my lunch.  And this is no ordinary green smoothie.  Oh no.  This is a Pumpkin Pie smoothie.

It's true.

Let me tell you, when you're really hungry and you've been drinking your meals for a day and a half, you can be deluded into believing you are drinking pumpkin pie.  It's quite possible.  My bubble will not be burst.

Here's what's in this one:  spinach, ice, almond milk, pumpkin puree, two bananas, cinnamon, ginger and cloves.

And it was scrumptious.

And here is an update for today.  The headaches are mostly gone.  The smoothies are great.  My energy is ever so slowly beginning to pick back up.

On another note:  to the friend who saw me carrying my glass of green goodness today and said it looked like a watery bowel movement, I forgive you.  You didn't know that I had already considered quitting this fast four times today and it was only 9:15 in the morning.  It's all right.  Really.

There you have it.  It's been another good, grueling, green-filled day.

Check back tomorrow to see how we're doing!

Enjoy today,

  3. I'm not near as refined as Teresa, I can't get past the "watery bowel movement" comment...lol that really grossed me out. Regardless, you will get through this month without quitting, I know you will...good luck ~ Robin

    1. Hahaha!!! If you were grossed out, imagine how I felt holding my glass! Yep. Drank it down.
Thankfully, it tastes delicious and I can just use mind over matter.

Robin ~ I surely appreciate your encouragement! Thank you so very much; it means a lot!
